UP DD40AX 6945 and mate get serviced at Albina Yard in Portland, OR after handling a priority freight west over the Blue Mountains and through the Columbia River Gorge. The line east from Portland is one of the most picturesque on the whole UP system. These behemoths were not welcomed on BN north from Portland to Seattle, so normally were turned east here.
