| Back in 2007 Deutsche Bahn still operated their Euro City (EC) trains from Strasbourg in France with the dual-system BR 181 (for the French 25 kV and German 15 kV AC systems).
181 206 kept her original 1970s blue Deutsche Bundesbahn livery and logos as designated heritage unit and is seen here passing the exit signal of the adjacent platform on the west end of Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof (Hbf).
SNCF and DB intruduced the cross-border TGV service from Paric to Stuttgart and Munich which soon replaced the Euro City service and the BR 181 had to migrate to other duties. |
