New Signals, Old Bridge. Amtrak 291 (Ethan Allen Express) was already making good speed although a minute out of the Rhinecliff, New York Station as it passed under the former New York Central Signal Bridge at CP 89 on the afternoon of Wednesday, January 12, 2022. As signals on the Hudson Line are upgraded, the older "searchlights" have been replaced with modern LEDs for future sustainability.
