Kansas City Southern SD40 3144 was found sitting in a deadline at the railroad’s Knoche Yard, along with a bunch of other surplus SD40s. KCS 3144 was built by GMD as CN 5085. When first acquired by KCS, it wore number 6605, but the patch under the number clearly indicates that it was renumbered later. (Kansas City, Missouri – September 17, 2010)
A rail tribute to the Canadian Pacific as it was before. The KCS as it was then and now, the combined CPKC system as it continues growing today. All credit goes to the original photographers and their talents. Many thanks for your efforts. Please enjoy
