For celebrating 125 years operation on the Gotthard line (openend in 1882), a doubleheaded steam train run from Bellinzona to Erstfeld. 4-6-0 express train steamlocomotive A 3/5 # 705, which is leading the consist, was not a mountain locomotive, but for fast passenger trains on lower grades, but 2-10-0 C 5/6 # 2978 "Elephant", the second engine, was especially built for freight trains on the Gotthard. A 3/5 # 705, built in 1904 by SLM, is leaving the Pianotondo spiral tunnel in the Biaschina, decorated like in old days when inaugurating or celebrating a line.
