TA Stands For Transit Authority. One of the more short lived but ornate logos in New York City Transit history was the “TA”logo, in use from 1962-1968. For the 3rd week of the "Farewell To The R-32s”, a vinyl reproduction was placed on the side of car 3360. Also added was a reproduction of the blue numberplate, which was removed during rebuilding in favor of a black plate with white writing, standard to most of the MTA NYCT Subway fleet.
