Bright Future On A Bleak Day. On December 29, 2012, CSX Q271 had the YN2 pair of CSXT 7516 and 7610 (C40-8/Dash 8-40C, built 6/1989 and 7/1990, GE) as it passed through Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. A number of railfans can be seen waving from the platform of the former station, which at one time was served by passenger trains from the West Shore Railroad (New York Central), New York Susquehanna and Western, and the New York, Ontario & Western but saw its last passenger train in 1966 and is presently a commercial building.
