| Mid morning on a cool winter day in the lower Tehachapi’s brings the daily flow of morning north bounds down the mountain, through the majestic emerald foothills. Here, a BNSF intermodal glides down around the horseshoe curve and through Caliente and is approaching the eastern opening to the Caliente Canyon, only a few hundred yards away.
