Remarks & Notes
The crew of Delaware Lackawanna PO-74 builds their train for points east on the Pocono Main. The Pocono Ordinary has a pair of former Erie Lackawanna C425s in the lead and they look very appropriate passing the restored former DL&W Mattes Street tower in Scranton, PA. It's quite remarkable that, 57 years after these units were built, they can be found operating on "home" rails on a regular basis. Both units had just turned 57 years old as of the date of this photo, having been built in October 1964 by Alco in Schenectady, NY.

Don Colangelo, retired CMO (and sometimes piano player) at the DL Scranton shops cared for the many ALCOs, MLWs and a few EMDs that passed in and out of South Scranton and Von Storch shop doors. Here is a look and many of those units.
