It is now exactly one year since the steam snow blower R # 12 (Xrot d # 9212) was back in service for the first time after 60 years. It had been built in 1913 by SLM Winterthur for the Rhaetian Railway (main network). After about 18 years of hard work, the R 12 group under the leadership of Martin Horath had completed the refurbishment, overhaul and recommissioning. The steam snow blower was pushed by the 2-6-0 T cogwheel steamlocomotive HG 3/4 # 4 of the Furka Bergstrecke steam railroad, also built in 1913. The composition is clearing the line on the 11.0 % grade cogwheel section below the Wiler bridge.
