Remarks & Notes
In a few minutes steamlocomotive H 2/3 # 5, built 1894 by SLM, will reach the station of Schynige Platte (1967 m/6453 ft) (Bernese Oberland), in the background from left Eiger (13024 ft), Mönch (Monk 13474 ft) and Jungfrau (Virgin 13642 ft). The rack steamlocomotive made very few specials every year and was still needed in springtime for opening the line after winter closure. In the moment, the locomotive is not operational anymore, sadly. The grade is 25 o/o wih Abt cogwheel system, the gauge 80 cm, electrified 1500 DC.
