Ever since the closing, and demolition of one of L&N only largest Hub in Georgia most of us thought this was going to be the end, and the beginning of Atlanta’s urban development on the footprint of Tilford Yard. Found out later that CSX was in the middle of grading the foundation to build a Tranflo Facility where parts of the receiving yard and diesel facility are located. Part of the Yard was sold to Amazon for their Fulfillment Center, and Hulcher Service Inc. is also having a piece of the old bowl Yard. While most of CSX’s affairs are located out of Howell Yard. Tilford has some rail-life left in it even in its former shell.
