The one and only Gateway Eastern GP38, No. 2000, is in the company of Gateway Western No. 2001 as they bring 55 cars across the UP diamonds at Sheffield, KCMO. Gateway Eastern is a short line in the E. St. Louis area while Gateway Western had the old Alton Road (later CM&W) line into KC. - subsequently under KCS control.
