The former TRANS EUROP EXPRESS RAe TEE II # 1053 made its first publicly advertised trip after the revision via the Gotthard route to Ticino and to the italian Luino on the shore of Lago Maggiore. The elegant trainset, dating from 1961, is tackling the Gotthard north ascent near Wassen, running through the imppressive rock cut next the middle Meienreuss bridge. Left abpve the train, the white house, is a former linesman hut on the upperlost level of the loops, where the train will pass by in the opposite direction in about one minute from now.
