The crewman doesn't look too happy that I am taking his picture. But this was a unique paint scheme and I wanted to get the shot. There were three N&W EMD GP38AC units that received the "skunk" scheme. Units 4104, 4107 and 4129 were painted in that scheme in December 1981. Maybe this was an early attempt to combine N&W and Southern livery for the upcoming 1982 merger of the two railroads?
