A unit train full of frac sand, BNSF U-EOCDOU0-06, originating in Eola, Illinois, and heading to Douglas, Wyoming, is being pulled by BNSF ES44DC 7201 and SD70Ace 9316 (with ES44C4 8241 on the rear). This train is nearly a full mile into its journey at this point. (The signal bridge in the background is for the Metra mainline, which has separated from BNSF’s Chicago Sub just east of here.)
