Remarks & Notes
With scattered storms looming in the distance, the westbound Southwest Chief snakes its way past the intermediate blades at MP 783.2. Passengers riding the conductor's side of the train get to enjoy the lovely sight of other people's misfortune - A rail photographer's vehicle on the dirt road with a flat tire. This put a damper on chasing the train any further.

The Southwest Chief is an under-appreciated train. The New Mexico scenery is like none other in the entire system.
