Help Has Arrived! Due to what is being termed "earth movement", Metrolink service between Los Angeles and Oceanside and Amtrak Surfliner service between Los Angeles and San Diego has been suspended since the morning of Thursday, September 16, 2021. A BNSF rock train (W-SBDSBD) arrived on the morning of Saturday, September 18, 2021 and crews labored throughout the day to repair damage to the track area. With its work done for the day, in the afternoon it departed the area past Calafia Beach in San Clemente, California with a conductor on the point of BNSF 6380 (ES44AC) calling the shove.
