Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad K-36 No. 489 leads the Antonito to Osier passenger train around a curve at track speed as it approaches Hangman’s Trestle (aka Ferguson’s Trestle) at mile 285.9 west of Antonito, Colorado, on the morning of August 27, 2021. This former Rio Grande 2-8-2 was converted to burn oil by the C&TS shop earlier this year—a first for the railroad.
