The steamtrain organised by association steam group Zürich (Verein Dampfgruppe Zürich) with B 3/4 # 1367 of SBB Historic made a visit on the about 4,4 kilometer long rest of the former railway line from Niederglatt over the Schwenkelberg to Otelfingen, called the "Schipka pass". This was part of the 19 kilometer long line from Wettingen to Niederglatt, inaugurated in 1877 by the Schweizerische Nordostbahn (NOB). The operation on the line, which was never electrified, was stopped in 1937 and in 1969 the line was closed officially. The about 4,4 kilometer long rest of the line from Niederglatt to Oberhasli is still in operation with diesel locomotives (mostly Am 843 of SBB Cargo) for freight trains to the Mettmenhasli fuel depots. Here the steamtrain is on the very "end of the line", the buffer stop is behind the last car (the train was shoved to this point from Niederglatt). Some disturbing "elements" have been removed.
