A former Norfolk Southern GP18 and two more geeps lead a MOW ballast train along one of the oldest railroad lines in the USA. Judging from all those markers showing where defects were detected, ballast and ties aren't all that is needed. I think this section of line - original route of the Best Friend of Charleston - is gone now. Wish I could have heard the arguments justifying spending money to raise the short hoods on the NS diesels.
