Remarks & Notes

My first encounter with Dan Markoff's Eureka & Palisade 4-4-0 "Eureka" was 24 years ago in Chama. On a warm June morning the 4-4-0 was under steam outside the original Chama roundhouse alongside C&TS 487. Later that morning it would depart on a test run up to the summit of Cumbres Pass.
