| The Big Boy's first servicing stop for the day on Thursday, August 12, was Vinita, Oklahoma. This scene shows the typical crowd and turnout for the steam train's brief appearance in the numerous small towns of middle America: people and vehicles strewn about for miles waiting to catch a glimpse of the bohemoth. |
