Remarks & Notes
Well-deserved coffee break for enginer and stoker of steam locomotive H 1/2 # 7 in Rigi Staffel. This unique vehicle with an upright boiler was built in 1873 as very first locomotive of the Swiss Locomotive and Machine Work (SLM) in Winterthur for the first mountain railway of Europe from Vitznau to the Rigi. The # 7 is part of the collection of the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne, but running on the Rigi this summer (and the next two summers!)
