Remarks & Notes
Reading & Northern's 4-6-2 Pacific No. 425 sits at Jim Thorpe, PA, on former CNJ tracks preparing for a series of excursions through the Lehigh Gorge.

In the background, to the right, is the restored Lehigh Coal & Navigation Headquarters Building which was designed and built in 1882 for the Lehigh Valley Railroad but sold to the Lehigh Coal & Navigation Company before its completion. The steeple above belongs to the St. Mark's & St. John's Episcopal Church built in 1869, largely funded by Asa Packer, a major stockholder of the Delaware, Lehigh, Schuylkill & Susquehanna Railroad Company, which became the Lehigh Valley Railroad Company in January 1853. The steeple to the left behind the locomotive belongs to Jim Thorpe's CNJ station built in 1888.
