Remarks & Notes
A rail grinder is being used to grind the rail between Salisbury and Spencer to remove fatigued metal and rail defects to extend the life of the rail head profile. The RG400 series can grind up to 20 mph with 30 hp grinding motors which is the workhorse for heavy haul freight and larger commuter railroads.
