With morning activities in full swing on Brooklyn's 1st Ave, New York New Jersey Rail's "Brooklyn crew" makes their way towards 65th Street Yard with loaded scrap cars in tow from Sims Recycling's Sunset Park facility. Aside from floating cars between Brooklyn and Greenville, NJ, NYNJ Rail serves customers on both sides. Sims Recycling is one customer on the Brooklyn side that requires the railroad to use its historic street-running trackage, which runs down the middle of 1st Avenue within Sunset Park.
