BNSF ES44DC 7309 leads Priority UPS-LTL Intermodal train Z-LACNYC9-10 through the Fullerton Transportation Center as it makes its way from Los Angeles CA to New York NY. (The second engine in the consist is a Norfolk Southern ES44AC – NS power is common the NYC to LA and LA to NYC trains. Just ahead of this train, workers are installing new truncated domes (the bumpy yellow plastic panels along the platform’s edge), and the worker in the safety vest is waving to the train’s crew with his air horn, which he uses to alert the workers doing the installation that a train is approaching. And as he knows of approaching trains before they are visible, he’s also helping the railfans who congregate here as well! (Fullerton, California – June 10, 2021)
