In autumn 2019, the International Rolling Stock Investment Gmbh, Frauenfeld (IRSI) bought the two Re 421 # 387 and # 393 from SBB Cargo, mainly for the sugar beet traffic of TR TransRail. In spring 2020, both locomotives got a revision in the SBB workshop in Bellinzona and were new painted in the former "Rheingold" colors (Re 421 # 387) or the red/cream TRANS EUROP EXPRESS colors (Re 421 # 393). The "twins" arrived in Kloten this morning, pulling in multiple control the Weiacher gravel train 69715 from Zweidlen. The locomotives were rented for this job by the Sersa (railway), which is operating this train.
