"Farewell to Amtrak GG1"excursion was sponsored by Lancaster and Philadelphia chapters, NRHS, using doubleheaded GG1 locomotives to pull the special train. The trip originated at Harrisburg, PA, and operated via Lancaster, Philadelphia, Perryville, Harrisburg, and back to Philadelphia.
In this view, NJT GG1s 4877 & 4876 are taken off the train at the station and will be turned with PRR 4877 leading, finishing the trip to Philadelphia.
