| On a cold February afternoon B&LE hoppers loaded with taconite pellets with CN and KSC power run down the CN Missabe sub eventually bound for New Orleans for loading in a boat to take to a European steel mill. With the news that Kansas City Southern has abandoned its agreement to be acquired by Canadian Pacific, choosing instead a competing bid from Canadian National Railway this type of KCS power deep in CN country might be more common in the future. |
