Remarks & Notes
Empties from Newport News, Va., pass the final C&O-era signal at Brounland, eastbound on the C&O Big Coal Subdivision with a unit train for Fork Creek on the drawbars. In a few short hours, a local mine run crew will begin the flood loading process and in the next 48 hours, this empty train will return in the opposite direction with another round of loads for export.
