Remarks & Notes
In what may possibly be the final eastward movement ever of a Budd M3 on LIRR rails, the 9938 leads a set of 10 beleaguered cars for temporary storage in Ronkonkoma Yard. This train will join about 100 other M3 cars in Ronkonkoma where they will await their final fate. Once arrangements have been made, they will eventually be scrapped in Maspeth Yard.
