Remarks & Notes
The BB 1280 are electric locomotives designed from 1898 on the model of the Baltimore & Ohio locomotives of 1895. They are built by General Electric for the electrical part and by Blanc Misseron for the mechanical part. They were put into service between 1899 and 1907 by the Compagnie du chemin de fer from Paris to Orléans. Initially designed to operate under 600 V direct current captured by a third rail, they were transformed between 1930 and 1935 to be supplied by catenary to 1.5 kV direct current. The locomotives are reformed between 1965 and 1967
