Remarks & Notes |
Re 420 # 239 (Re 4/4 II # 11239) of the SBB is one of only two of the series with a name and blazon, this is "Porrentruy" with a wild boar. Locomotive # 11239 was given the coat of arms of Porrentruy, inheriting it from Ae 6/6 # 11483, which after the founding of the canton of Jura rose from "Porrentruy town locomotive" to "Jura canton locomotive". The locomotive is pulling the freight train 69059 from Langenthal to Thun freight yard, with 3 low loader cars. The loads are two "Leopard" main battle tanks and one "Leopard" bridge-laying tank (without bridge elements) of the swiss army. |
