Remarks & Notes
Towerman Joe Coulter in his ever-present fedora hands train orders to the crew of a cab hop. The GP35, GP30 combo with matching caboose in Reading's attractive yellow and green image was most likely coming down from Erie Ave. to pick-up a consist at West Falls yard. West Falls marshaled cars from Reading's Pennsy connection at Belmont and from transfers from the B&O at Eastside and frequently this business warranted an extra train for Reading and beyond. "FS" tower was a 52 lever armstrong type interlocking - thus the rods along the right of way.
