Ain't Dead Yet.
NJ Transit 4119, one of two F40s returned to revenue service in 2020, is seen on point of a Pascack Valley Line train bound for Spring Valley. NJ Transit has ordered, and recently took delivery of the first of more dual mode ALP-45DP locomotives, like 4506 seen hiding under the train shed, but as I understand it these new locomotives will replace the problematic PL42AC fleet. Hopefully this means the F40s and the venerable GP40s will stay in revenue service for years to come!
