| A twin railbus reached the derelict last stop before end of the steep branchline from Hronská Dúbrava to Banská Štiavnica, on a service that started in the central Slovakian city of Zvolen. Passenger services on this line survived closure attempts in 2003 and 2012 due to strong local support, and quality was even improved with the introduction of refurbished twin railbuses in 2017. The one pictured is a special one: it is owned by ŽOS Zvolen, the locomotive workshop responsible for the refurbishment, and only leased to state-owned operator ŽSSK. |
