Steam Storm: A mixture of happenstance and convenient timing provided an opportunity to observe what ended up being one of N&W 611's last big public excursions as it departed Roanoke in the spring of 2017. The still, temperate morning was soon shaken by the incredible sounds of a modern mainline steam locomotive.
