| NS 282 begins to slow down after taking an approach signal at Bunch to meet 372 at Jenkinsburg. Leading is Sonic Bonnet 4001, one of the first two DC-to-AC conversions that NS completed to extend the life of their older locomotives, hence the special paint scheme that it wears. The 4001 was also famous for being involved in a wreck in 2017 that resulted in the locomotive landing on its side. The engine was eventually rebuilt by the Juniata Locomotive Shops in Altoona, PA in 2020 & it has been running ever since. |
