New York New Jersey Rail's "Brooklyn crew" begins their dash down First Avenue towards 65th Street Yard after pulling 2 loaded scrap cars from Sims Recycling's Sunset Park facility in Brooklyn, NY. Aside from floating cars between Brooklyn and Greenville, NJ, NYNJ Rail serves customers on both sides. Sims Recycling is one customer on the Brooklyn side that requires the railroad to use its historic street-running trackage, which runs down the middle of 1st Avenue within Sunset Park.
