Remarks & Notes

A pair of GP9s lead a string of jenny hoppers through the curves east of Mifflin on a June morning. Note that No.4 track (westward passenger) is eased into the alignment of former No.3 track to reduce curvature where the railroad complies with the course of the Juniata River. The location is a rural grade crossing near the old MP 152.5 signal bridge.
