| The daily 338 from Waterloo to Kirk Yard dips thru the big hogback between Jesup and Independence on the CN Dubuque Sub. The train is hitting quite a few drifts since they left Waterloo. Around Beth would be some big ones and the crew would have to stop and clean off the windows to see. The train is 9000 feet long and the CN 8020 is in DP mode cut-in 3/4 back in the train. 338 is 20 miles east of Waterloo. Unfortunately for me I had to badorder the CN 8928 on the trip to Ft. Dodge on 571, so this BNSF got to lead back on 570 and to 338 today! |
