Dwarfed by Cajon Pass’ Mormon Rocks is Union Pacific train WELYUZ-20, a work train (a solid train of Herzog ballast cars) traveling from Elsey CA to Yuma AZ. Overnight and early morning snow still blankets this area, although it will disappear within the hour. A pair of UP AC4400CWs, 5915 and 5957, are up front, with SD70ACe 8639 between them, and UP AC6000CW 7640 and Kansas City Southern ES44AC 4685 are the rear DPUs.
