At sunset on October 24, 1992, an eastbound Burlington Northern train speeds along the Mississippi River as it passes under the graceful U.S. Highway 52 truss bridge at Savanna, Illinois. This bridge has since been replaced with a more modern substitute.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
