Legendary vehicles of the Gotthard line united in Arth Goldau. On the left the "Rotary" steam snow blower Xrot # 100, built in 1896 by Henschel und Sohn in Cassel/Germany for the Gotthard Railway, behind is the steam locomotive Eb 3/5 5819. On the right in the shed the most powerful locomotive in the world at that time, Ae 8/14 # 11852 "Landilok" built in 1938 by SLM and BBC with about 12000 HP.
The snow blower and the Ae 8/14 are otherwise exhibited at the Swiss Museum of Transport (VHS) in Lucerne, but have been moved to Arth Goldau due to lack of space.
