A Chesapeake and Ohio Mallet runs again! WMSR / C&O 1309 is fired up and takes its first steps outside of the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad's shops in Ridgeley. Constructed in 1949, C&O 1309 is the last Baldwin steam locomotive built for any Class I railroad.
