Remarks & Notes
Union Pacific Railroad LSF 54, the South Local, slowly approaches fallen branches as it enters the Havana District at Lincoln, Illinois. Lead locomotive 1475 was built in July 1971 for the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad as GP40 #4085. The boxcar traffic is headed to the end of the Havana District and its sole customer, International Paper Company. Photo Tuesday, 5 January 2021. Steve Smedley
