Call for the wrecking crew. With a derailment reported on the High Line to McGill, Nevada Northern's wreck train heads north out of Ely, across the Steptoe Fill to deal with the aftermath. Hauling the hook this day is the beefy Alco Consolidation #93. Immediately behind the locomotive, the red idler car is the crane's tool car, which carries all of the rigging equipment that is necessary to do any type of hoisting that might be required. Behind the tool car is the essential element of this train, a 100-ton, steam-powered crane that is still fully operational. Behind that are an outfit car, a hopper containing ballast, a box car with tools and supplies, and a Kennecott Caboose.
