The San Gabriel Mountains have finally gotten their first coating of snow for the season, and the following day Metrolink Orange County Line train 684 passes through Control Point (CP) Maple, and between old citrus packing houses that are now part of the Chapman University campus, just north of the station in the city of Orange. SCAX F125 939, built by EMD in June 2018, is in charge of this train as it heads to Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo from Los Angeles on a beautiful December afternoon.
